Hey you guys. There is a great night coming up, with a top Thai band. If you want to hear Thai music, and particularly if you like reggae, then you will love the band job2do. Really great music.
If you want to hear these guys performing live there is a concert on 17 October at Surin. The ticket price includes a first rate seafood buffet dinner. There will also be auctions and raffles, so dont come empty handed.
All proceeds go to my rotary clubs fund for local needy children, so a good night out all round.
Strangely they have put me in charge of life saving and fireworks. Could be an interesting display of pyrotechnic drowning.
Heres the details:

Mark.
Great night out this Saturday.
Hey Mark
How far is Surin from Kata?
thanks
Ruth
Great night out this Saturday.
Sounds like a great night out and to a worthy cause.
Sorry Capt, heading we%26#39;re up to Chiang Mai and Laos this trip otherwise we would have been there with bells on.
Cheers
Bob %26amp; Janette
Ruth, Surin is just over half an hours drive north from Kata.
Otherwise Mark I thought you needed serous Adult Supervision...what on earth are you doing playing with fireworks?
Have fun!
Chantal.
We were very lucky to attend a Job2do concert in Khao Lak in April. Fantastic band, performed non-stop for 3 hours+ Great atmosphere. I hope this concert is well attended and the worthy causes receive much needed support.
Video of Job2Do performing their most famous hit ';Doo Doo Doo'; at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAdZzr0ysxg (wonder how many when it starts playing will say ';Now THAT%26#39;s who made this!';)
Great job Mark. Good luck to all involved. Hope the weather is kind - and I%26#39;d appreciate it if you find out if, hopefully, when Khun Job and the guys are performing again in Khao lak or thereabouts.
Regards
Alan
Sounds like it will be a great night out Mark, shame we cant make it!!
I was a bit disturbed to read that your in charge of fireworks though, are you using your own stock or are they supplying more up to date ones hehe.
Now make sure if you sing along to Doo Doo Doo that you say the proper words ok as for some strange reason now that I have read this post your version is stuck in my head hahaha, Gary also said have you been promoted to the cool club???
Have a fantastic night.
Cathy
I got tickets at the Sandwich Shop in Patong in the soi opposite the entrance to Club Andaman.
How did the Charity night go ? CJ
Hi all, the night went really well.
Captain Mark (my dad) managed to not set anything on fire so great result all round.
The band were really really good - very impressed.
Dad outdid me in the end - he disappeared back to the hotel with the band (how cool) and was last seen sitting at the bar with them at 4am. He only got home the following afternoon! Since I came home at 2am, I have officially been out-partied by my dad.
He got his hat signed by Khun Job, and thankfully, no one found a guitar for him to play. Mark had threatened to sing to Job2Do at one stage.
Thanks to Tiff who donated a great prize from Dreamworld, (still need to find out who won that...) and who managed to buy 10 raffle tickets from Australia! (but did not win anything).
Big congrads to the Rotary Club for putting on such a great show for charity.
Elise
Glad to hear that everything went well Elise and well done to all!!
Also surprised to hear that your Old Man still has some voomah. Just goes to show... :))
Regards
Chantal.
Thanks for the update Elise, %26#39;gut feel%26#39; said that there was potential for our illustrious Cap-i-tan to hijack a microphone somewhere along the lines and leaving his post .... please tell me he didn%26#39;t .... although thankful in the same breath coz it could%26#39;ve cost me a fortune :))))
Congrats and commendations to all involved and sincerely hope it was a very successful event and the kids reap the benefits .... we take our hats off to you guys, well done troops!
Cheers
Tiff xxxx
