Seems that one of the things I missed in all my chronic researching was a kids club at our hotel. It has a great pool for kids - but not a kids club (rookie mistake i know)
Is there any fun centres or the like where we can take him - or do any hotels allow non-guests to use facilities for a fee?
Our little man is a toddler of 17 months!
Lastly - what is the going rate for getting laundry done (not at hotel)
Toddler Kids Centres or PLay Equipment
bump - any help?
Toddler Kids Centres or PLay Equipment
The holiday Inn patong has a nice kids club ( for younger kids parent or babysitter has to stay with the child) but im not sure if they allow people from outside the hotel to use the facility for a fee.
For the laundry we used the hotel service, but i saw alot of signs for laundry services at the beach road for 50 or 60 Bhat per KG.
In the basement of Big C you will find a playcenter. He will still be too young though to enjoy everything, but there should be enough to keep him occupied for a while.
17 months ? At 17 months all we had to do was provide a small bucket, a scoop, sand and sea for a whole days entertainment. In fact, at 17 months, even an empty cardboard box would provide a couple of hours of fun. Get one of those swimsuits with an inbuilt life preserver for the pool. Good ones give maximum freedom and make sinking impossible. We liked the swimsuit with inbuilt ring type, as opposed to the life-preserver jacket type. Hours of fun for them jumping into the pool. No good for a beach with waves though.
Not that I think you would, but at 17 months you can%26#39;t leave your child unattended at a kids club anyway. You can pay for a babysitter to watch them. In fact, the babysitter as a playmate is not a bad option for purely entertainment value, even without a kids club.
I seem to recall some hotel did allow play there for a fee ? Maybe HI, or Movenpick ?
Laundry was 60 baht per kilo, most places, plenty of them around. Don%26#39;t bother to pay extra and get it ironed, it comes nicely folded anyway.
Wasn%26#39;t planning on leaving him alone - not sure i would trust anyone else yet - but he does get bored easy - he%26#39;s bloody into everything.
Thanks for all the help!
We leave at 6am tomorrow morning - 9 hours to go - woooooo hooooooo
