Hi,
%26#39;My freinds and I will be in Krabi for about 3 nights in mid December and we were wondering what there is to do there and what the island is known for ? We are looking for a good balance of unique, adventorous activities during the day, sight-seeing, and nightlife/interaction with tourists. Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
3 nights in Kabi- WHAT TO DO??:)
Firstly Krabi is not an island but on the coast...a very scenic coast at that.
If you are staying at Ao Nang ther are lots of cafe, restaurants and bars for your nightlife. Krabi Town has a nice night market and a great food night market,
Day trips to nearby islands via longtail boats are a great way to spend the day on the water and are very economical as is a day trip to nearby Railay Beach / Phra Nang Cave Beach.
If you take a look at out Phuket Tip page here... www.bobandjanette.com we have some photos of billboards advertising day trips from Krabi. The photos were taken from our Krabi trip earlier this year so prices are current.
Happy %26amp; safe travels
Bob
3 nights in Kabi- WHAT TO DO??:)
Hi enaya,
If you%26#39;re seeking a party scene, then Krabi%26#39;s most famous (or for some most %26#39;infamous%26#39;) island is Ko Phi Phi Don which would meet all of the criterias you%26#39;ve listed: stunning scenery, decent snorkeling off of some beaches, great day-trips to Phi Phi Leh made famous by The Beach infamy, and tons of socializing and dving, kayaking, etc. The downside is that it%26#39;s ultra-popular and during this peak holiday season, room rates go up, up, up.
If you decide this is for you, might consider looking for flights (either via Phuket or Krabi airports) and accomodations VERY SOON.
There%26#39;s cliff climbing, visits to the Emerald Pool and hot springs, 4/5 island snorkelling tours, tours to Phang Nga Bay, tours to Phi Phi. Markets in Krabi town. Lovely beaches to just relax on... West Railay, Phra Nang. Plenty to do for 3 nights. Heck we were there for 5 nights and could have stayed longer.
Great! Thanks so much for the advice!
Have you booked accommodation yet?
