Travelling to Vimanmek Mansion from Saphan Taksin station

would like to ask which is the faster, more efficient way of travelling to VM from Saphan Taksin station:

1) take the express boat to the pier nearest to VM (how long is the boat ride in terms of time?), then take tuk tuk to VM or

2) take a cab directly to VM (will there be traffic jams along the way?)

Boat to Rajavithi pier, then taxi (Not tuktuk). Taxis often cost less and have airconditioning!

thks, may i know what is the journey time if take the express boat to the Rajavithi pier? also, is traffic jam the reason why u didn%26#39;t advise taking taxi directly ?

Journey time less than half hour by boat and taxi. It will take a lot longer and cost a lot more just using taxi.

I would recommend taking a similar route on your Palace visit. From Sanam Pao, the BTS/Express Boat combo would probably be as fast as a taxi, especially in the morning.
