Marriott / Cher Far with children

Hi can anyone please advise which room I need to book in this resort to accommodate 2 adults and 2 children 5 %26amp; 6? Marriott website is saying ma of 3 people per room! and somewhere else I read no rollaway beds?

Presumably as a family friendly resort this is possible?

Also are there any local restaurants within reasonable walking distance of hotel

Many thanks

I%26#39;ve not stayed in the Cher Fah but had a tour including looking at the rooms which are basically the same except the duplex suites which are larger and on two floors. I must admit although they are quite spacious the rooms didn%26#39;t seem big enough to accommodate a family of 4. Have you contacted the resort via its website to see what they would suggest to meet your requirements?

As for local restaurants, there is one on the beach immediately to the left, one to the right then a further two more a couple of hundred metres further. The one to the left definitely opens in the evening (well it did when we were in KL last April), I don%26#39;t know about the others which are simple but good ';no shoes'; type beach eateries. Other than that it is the hotel shuttle or taxi into Bang Niang, about 10 minutes, or Bang La On, 5 minutes further, where there is plenty of choice.

Hi Petal05,

I received an email directly from the hotel advising that the Studio Pool Access rooms will sleep 2 adults and 2 children.

We have reserved a Duplex Suite for myself, husband and 14 yo daughter.

Thanks for that - very useful information on this new resort.

Hi Arandora,

Thanks for the information. We are also looking at the Chong Fah Resort, interested in your views on this resort, which beach area is the most impressive.?

Spent some time in the KL area 7 years ago.

The Chong Fah is a very nice smaller resort wit hotel rooms at the rear, some bungalows overlooking the pool and others directly overlooking Bang Niang beach. Your own loungers are on a grassed area elevated above the beach which at this point is quite narrow. It has a very good restaurant that features quite regular ';special dinners'; or BBQs. We go to the bar quite regularly for Happy Hour to drink excellent cocktails and watch fabulous sunsets. It is much smaller and more intimate than the Cher Fah, with less expensive dining, and with plenty of restaurants adjacent and nearby on or overlooking the breach, on the nearby roads and all the way upto and including on the highway. The beach here is quite narrow, safe for swimming in the Dry Season (November to April) and great for walks in either direction.

Khuk Khak Beach where the Cher Fah is situated is more beautiful and less developed and equally great but for different reasons for walking. The ocean does tend to get rougher at Khuk Khak.

We stay in Bang Niang but spend as much time on Khuk Khak beach.

I think the Cher Fah is for those wanting a high standard of accommodationand facilities but are happy to remain mostly in the resort. The Chong Fah is more about a smaller but still good quality resort and better accessibilty to the area.

Decisions! Decisions!
