I recently reviewed Laguna beach resort - however i didnt mention at the time that whilst there we put our clothes - 36 pieces - mostly the kids - into a Beach bar laundrette - and lost the lot as they were given to someone else. We were promised they would be posted if retunred but 4 months on we knew we would never see them again .
A mth ago MelbJAM contacted to ask me some advice - we spoke on maybe two emails about certain do%26#39;s and dont%26#39;s and then I jokingly said dont put your washing into xxx bar as you will never see it again!!!!
WELL - two nights ago - a family in Melbourne have contacted us - they went to the laundry and asked about my clothes.
Can you believe that yesterday our family went to their house which is by fate in just the next suburb and collected 36 pieces of clothing !!! My kids have had them on all day today. We also had a drink and reminisced about Thailand! What a lovely family.
Anyway - just wanted to say that without Tripadvisor this wouldnt have happened and IF there was an award for being the most helpful/ going out of their way / doing something really nice for someone you really dont know then MelbourneJAM should really be in the running for this.
Thank you so much for your help ( I would name you all but maybe you dont want to be named ) but to the MCL family a very sincere thank you.
As an aside the bar mgr sent my girls a new dress and new top each so I will also give he.she the benefit of the doubt.
I have 3 very happy girls who just got at least one or two of their favs back!! Thank you again !
A great Trip advisor story -Now that is why I am so proud to be an Aussie! Thumbs up families, great to see yet another %26#39;happy ending%26#39; from the LOS!
Cheers
Tiff xxxx
A great Trip advisor story -Wow that is amazing. As they say 6 degrees of separation. Puts your faith back, what a great family to do that for you. Huge Thumbs up to them. Thanks for sharing.
That%26#39;s a lovely story! What a kind and considerate gesture by MelbJAM! It makes you realise just how good people are when they get a chance to show it.
Well done to both families!
Cheers
Phil
Great story! :-D
what a nice story, and how unbeliverable for that to happen.
Lovely gesture by the Melbourne family, but also a nice ending about the Thai laundry which both found and kept the clothes and gave them over to be returned to you.......honesty prevails!
What a fab story - this has happened to me a few times over the past 8 years.
But yes I%26#39;ve always got it back ;-)
Anyway what a great story to meet news friends!
A small world!! And I do agree that we need to thank the owner of the laundry for keeping them for so long and for the gifts.
