Does anyone know how the rate is at the airport , I%26#39;ve read that it is as good as anywhere . I have looked at most of the pages mentioned on this forum on rates but would like to have someones 1st hand experience on what the airport offers as it%26#39;s a considerable some of money for a knee replacement which has to be paid in USD

best regards

You will have to change AUS$ to Baht, the the Baht to US$, which is going to be expensive. If you really need US$ get them before arriving. If you%26#39;re having a medical procedure here in Thailand, any reputable hospital will accept Thai baht or a credit card. It does not sound right that you have to pay in cash US$.

thanks for your reply Dragonc ,

i%26#39;ve emailed the DR %26amp; i can use AU dollars so everything should be fine

Why do you need $US?

If you are holidaying in Thailand just convert to baht.

If you are going to a country go to a local bank and get the best rate with fees.

There are money exchanges at all Thailand Airports.

I hope this helps!
