We are staying at Surin Beach in February and would like to take an elephant ride. What price should we expect to pay? How long does it last? Are there guides to avoid or any who are particularly recommended?
All info welcome Thanks!
Elephant Ride Advice Please
Kok Chang Safari is fantastic for elephant rides. The have 20 min, 30 min and 1 hr rides. All the animals there are well cared for, the views are sensational and they have their own website wih prices etc.

Elephant Ride Advice Please
Is this fact or is this fiction...???
Please google : thailand environmental concerns
An excellent site with a whole bunch of information about elephant training, trekking, tigers and other interesting stuff about Thailand....
We went to Kalim Elephant ride, about 15 min drive from Surin. Like the one Cathy mentions, there is varying ammounts of time. Price is about 500Bt per person.
leave the poor beasts alone...go and torture something that deserves it...these animals are poorly treated and inhumanely broken in...its tourists that support this torture...give it a rest...
