SOS need a guide in Chiang Rai

This Saturday we are going to Chiang Rai for 3 days (19-21). And realised that we need a guide.

After reading all comments in this forum, I wrote to Jermsak, but unfortunately he%26#39;s unavailable for our dates.

Do you, nice people, have any contacts with realistic prices?

SOS need a guide in Chiang Rai

Hi there, We are in Chiang Rai at the moment. We left the hotel with a plan to visit several places near Chiang Rai. The van drivers at bus station wanted 1000 baht for four people around 27 Australian with no air conditioning and no english speaking. We walked along the road and found a lovely lady at a tour company that took us in an airconditioned minibus to The White Temple to a waterfall and then to a lookout then to the emerald temple. We stopped and had lunch which was very cheap. For 3hours cost 1000 baht. She does lots of other tours up to golden triangle hill tribes etc. She is a beautiful lady and speaks excellent English. I asked her for her card.We had an awesome day. Her email is kratai-02009@hotmail.com Her name is Pantiwa and it is called Mekhong Travel agency in town. Telephone or fax office 053752536. The address is 891/2 pholyotin Road T.wiang Muang district . You will not regret going with her.

Hi Caroline, We sure are. Went for 2 hour massage for $10 tonight. Fantastic. Recommended by this tour guide if you want to have one at Easter. And day with Jermsak. awesome day. Off to Burma with him tomorrow. Will definitely do a trip report when i get back.

Also, would love to hear more about your days in Chiang Rai, so if you can find the time upon your return, can you do a Chiang Rai trip report?

Wish I was there! I just returned form 2.5 weeks in Vietnam though and need a little rest time at home now!

For anyone thinking of Vietnam: We enjoyed it, especially the Mekong Delta, Hoi An and Phu Quoc island, but when I think about return trips to SE Asia, Thailand is still my number one choice!

See my trip reprt i used the Travel Agent just at the side iof the Night Market which is close to the City bus Station.

It cost me for myself 1400 baht for all day aircondtioned taxi.

The costs could be slightly diferant for more than 1.
