Bangkok to Hua Hin

Hi

Need some advise we are staying for 1 night in Bangkok before travelling down to Hua Hin, we thinking of going by train but not sure of the times, cost and the location of station and what hotels to stay at, we are arriving on a Sunday about 15.30pm.

Many thanks for in advance for you help with this

Bangkok to Hua Hin

Whilst ive not done it its really easy, most take a taxi for about 30 pound go on to the hua hin forum for more information.

Bangkok to Hua Hin

Get a limo (around 2500 baht) or a bus from the Ekamai Bus Station. The train will take nearly four hours, the bus will do it in about three, the limo, depending on the driver, around two and quarter hours.

The air con buses only cost 99 baht - or did the last time I went.

About 3 hours and a bit on bus,but train can be quite slow and my mate took 5 hours on thursday.Bus is good if you want to not spend money and as for accomodation there is an abundance of hotels/guest houses starting as low as 500 baht a nite in town at the moment for basic room, rising up to 2800 baht at Hilton and 5000 at Sofitel(both on wotif.)

You can take a taxi straight from Bangkok Airport to Hua Hin, takes about 2.5 hrs but allow up to 3, otherwise if on a budget it%26#39;s into BKK and then bus / train

Plenty of hotels, resorts and other places to stay, depends on your budget, local Hua hin bookings give the best deals, so many choices, if yuou ask on HH forum and read messages you will get ideas

Your request for train has been ignored so far, so here%26#39;s the info you asked for;

This gives you times and prices.

This is a short journey so just turn up and buy a ticket.

Unless you are in a hurry ignore all the comments about taxis, but I get the feeling you want to %26#39;see%26#39; the journey, and train is the only way to get a good view, and see any scenery.

Yes, you can go by taxi, but the road is so plain and boring you might as well shut your eyes and go to sleep (if you can on that awful road, even though most has been recently redone).

The public bus is cheap, but bear in mind that the southern bus station is quite a way out of town, and so the cheap bus fare is compensated by high taxi fare.

The bus is not very luxurious and follows the same road as taxi so view is a little tedious.

If you have the time the train is best.
