Taxi cost to Pier from Chaweng Beach

Does anyone know how much a taxi would cost from Chaweng Beach to the pier; Lomprayah are offering a free pick up service, but Im suspecting its going to be a shared pick up thus picking up at lots of hotels,

Is it worth paying for a taxi versus being stuck on a bus for what looks like best part of an hour
