We spent 3 dream days in Chaing Rai last month (September 09). We explored the city and the surround with extremely recommended guide. We were lucky to meet Nok (a bird in Tai) actually after we failed to contact famous Jermsak… The combination of in-depth knowledge of the local culture, history, culinary, art and even agriculture etc with perfect English and pleasant women gave the time we spent together extra unforgettable flavors. She also had some helpful information on what to do (or not) – restaurants, the walking street on Saturdays (don’t miss it!) and the local markets. We paid around 2500 BHT per day (~10 hours) including car and fuel (excl. food)
