Just wondered if anyone had been to Koh samet and Koh Tao and who do they compare? We%26#39;ve been to Koh Tao but not Koh Samet. We will be in thailand next August for 19 days.

been to both ,prefer koh tao.samet does have lovely clear water like koh tao but it can get rowdy at weekends when the thais arrive en masse with there whiskey..

Koh Tao is good for snorkelling and scuba diving but i didn%26#39;t like Sai Ree beach
I liked Haad Sai Kaew on Koh Samet even more
no ,i dont like sai ree beach either ,its a good place for dinner and entertainment but i wouldnt stay there.
been to both years ago and loved both, samet gets busy at weekends, koh tao is obviously much further away but less populated and amazing if you want to do some diving. sorry that probably doesnt help much!
