What is the best transport from airport to Patong Merlin and how much wil it cost me?

Really depends how many of you there are. As a couple we favour metered taxis.
Turn right as you exit the terminal and walk 50 meters to the end of the veranda.
Pay the man at the taxi booth 100 baht and he will call a metered taxi around to the front. When you arrive at your Patong hotel pay the driver the fare on the meter....about 400 baht.
Ignore offers of limo, taxi, metered taxi etc as you walk to the metered taxi booth.

Agree with the above, by far the best and easiest way to get to the Patong Merlin. I was at the Patong Merlin three years ago, the rooms above reception (access via lift) were a lot better than some of the rooms in the outer wings surounding the pools, but it may have changed by now.
