We%26#39;re off to La Flora for a week very soon and are looking for tips on what to see/do from Khao Lak. We%26#39;re not scuba divers or snorkellers but I think a trip around Phang Nga Bay and to James Bond Island would be good to do. Also we like nature, national parks and spotting wildlife and I know there are several nature-based activities around. I%26#39;d like recommendations for tours and operators and also any we should avoid. I%26#39;d also like to do a cooking class and we%26#39;ll be making use of the spa either at La Flora or elsewhere. Any suggestions on what to do and see would be greatly appreciated. We also would like enough time to relax...so aren%26#39;t looking for something to do every day (maybe 3 or 4 days in total for activities). Many thanks!

Have a look top right at Top Questions about Khao Lak and in particular at '; What are the top tours or things to do in or around Khao Lak?'; tripadvisor.com/Travel-g297914-c109161/Khao-…
Hopefully this will give you plenty of ideas.
Phang Nga Bay is a sheltered bay so there should still be plenty of tours running there. However, it is very much weather dependent and better booking when you arrive. There are plenty of operators and tour desks, a good one (if it is open) being jus up the road from La Flora at Marc%26#39;s Steakhouse.
Have a look at Khao Lak Land Discovery (biggest tour operator in Khao Lak) website at www.khaolaklanddiscovery.com/bookings.php to give you an idea of the range of tours. Khao Sok National Park is particularly good at this time of year for rides on the river as it will be more full and flowing than in the Dry Season.
For a cooking class, one og longest standing and most popular is 10 minutes (by taxi) down the highway at O%26#39;Connor%26#39;s Irish Pub (great THAI food!!!) in Bang La On. See http://irishpub-khaolak.com/ and this previous thread for others tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g297914-i10908-k21…

Hi,
Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island is a lovely trip to do and the scenery is amazing here you would also visit Koh Panyee the sea gypsey vilage which is popular and some trips also include paddling in the mangroves by canoe. As Arandora has already said Khao Sok is magnificent at this time of year and also Chieow Laan Lake is amazing with a visit to the raft houses. Here is another link to a cooking class in Bang Niang at the Candle Restaurant
