Manop the driver

Has anyone used this chap recently ? He has replied to an email i sent re hiring a driver for a couple of days and appears fine.

Just wondered if there are any up to date reports re him?

Have just returned from 8 nights in Phuket this morning. We used Mr. Manop 3 times and he is excellent. If he can%26#39;t drive you, he will arrange a friend to pick you up with the rate negotiated prior to the job. He was always on time and his rates are very reasonable. In fact, I have just received an email from him as he arranged for a driver to pick us up from Indigo pearl to take us to the airport for 200 baht.

We had a PM from another forum user and it was very reassuring re Manop so will def book him now. We leave England Sunday night so just putting the final touches together and are ready for a holiday.

can someone please pass on manop%26#39;s details please? We will be there in march next year and would like to enquire about him...I also read about manop in someone%26#39;s JBR and they said he charged almost the same as what a taxi driver would...

We used Manop%26#39;s services in July this year.

We are 2 families of 4 and will be doing some things together and separately. I am wondering if his transport does accommodate 8 people without being too squished?

Also what sort of trips will Manop do?

Do you feel it%26#39;s best to do things like the Zoo and Wat Chalong etc with a driver? Do they usually wait for you?

I know in Vanuatu earlier this year we did some amazing things with our own driver %26amp; he patiently waited at each spot, amazing!

Hi there, Sometimes things happen on a spur of a moment-therefore if you decide to visit the zoo %26amp; wat chalong %26amp; haven%26#39;t arranged a private driver you can always get a tuk tuk to anywhere on Phuket. The tuk tuk driver will wait for you. We visited the zoo a few years back %26amp; our tuk tuk driver actually came %26amp; joined us while we were watching the crocodile show.

All you need to do is approach them tell them what you are wanting to do %26amp; negotiate a price. Don%26#39;t pay them anything until they return you to your accomodation. All very easy. CJ
