Kings Birthday in December

Does anyone know what happens with Kings Birthday in December.

His birthday is on the Saturday and i beleive they have the Holiday on the Monday.

Will anything be open or just certain things closed.

Kings Birthday in December

Only government and business offices will be closed. Grand Palace may be closed if there is some ceremony there, but not sure yet. Everything else open as usual. I heard that people have been asked to wear pink shirts this year to respect HM.

I was in Bangkok a couple of years ago on the king%26#39;s birthday and the government offices were closed, as well as the palace and banks. Restaurants were open and most, but not all shops.

Kings Birthday is also Fathers day in Thailand....I have a feeling bars are closed on this day as well.

Bars are closed on the Kings Birthday, and sales of alcohol in stores and at restaurants is also prohibited.
