Air Asia vs Thai Airways

I need to book one way flights between BKK and Phuket and between Krabi and BKK. I see amazing deals with Air Asia but not sure whether I want to deal with delayed flights and strict luggage allowances. Should I pay more and go with Thai Airways?

Would like to get your experiences with both.

For a 1 hour flight Air Asia or Nok Air are fine If you want full service and more flexibility, there is also Bangkok Airways.
