Hi,

I live in Phuket and have flown through the airport many many times, and I have never seen a place where you can buy alcohol once you have arrived in Phuket Airport.

When you Depart there is a duty free shop - but when you Arrive you head straight though immigration, then collect your baggage. Maybe the shop is after baggage collection? But I dont think so.

I might be totally wrong, but i really dont think there is a shop there.

I know this is unusual because most airports you can buy when you arrive (such as Perth).

If you are flying to KL first why not buy your booze in OZ,it is still an international flight from KL so you wont have a problem carrying it as hand luggage. Probably cheaper in OZ as well

You can buy duty free on departure from KL to take into Thailand. KL duty free is cheaper than Thailand, indeed I reckon you may as well buy your alcohol on the street in Thailand rather than duty free at the airport.

If one bottle is not enough, you can always go to Carrefour at Jungecylon, the liquor section is quite big and has good selections at good prices also.

I also dont notice a duty free shop upon Arrival, cause i am too excited to go out, but i think there is a small shop just after baggage collection.

If you look at the Phuket Airport Terminal map, there is a duty free at International Arrival.

Just that most including me dont notice, i rather just run out and see Phuket.

Anyway buy from KL if you can, it%26#39;s cheaper.

Yes there is a small duty free shop in the arrivals hall, its been there for a few years now, my brother in law replaced a bottle of bacardi for me there after dropping my backpack and breaking mine lol.

Heres a link to the airport map showing where the shop is.

But it is probably cheaper to buy in KL, we also found Adelaide duty free more expensive than Singapore or KL.

Hi, we are flying Auckland to Singapore then on to Phuket... do you recommend buying duty free in Singapore or will it be cheaper in shops once in Phuket? Thanks :)

I would suggest you buy in Singapore.
